In Review: the Gakkenflex 135mm TLR

The hottest thing in toy cameras right now may be the Gakkenflex Twin Lens Reflex that’s available as a DIY kit From Gakken Mook (magazine, book) in Vol 25. The best part (or worst if you’re not into this sort of thing) is that you must assemble using instructions in Japanese. There’s already a small cult following on flickr.

Then I realised I’d been sucked into what I actually try to avoid in photography: geekspeak. So while some of the specifics [...]

The Massive Guide to all Holga Cameras

Back in the day, when things were simple, we had one Holga camera: The Holga 120S. But since then, the range of Holga cameras have increased dramatically, ranging from bizarre Hello Kitty branded point and shoot cameras to even bizarrer stereo 3d cameras.
