Call for Entries: Holga Show 3.0

Another great toy camera show! Lo-fi photography is definitely in a boom period at the moment!

Details:

Open to artists internationally working with “toy” cameras – any camera with a plastic lens is welcome.

There is no restriction on subject matter. Accepted works will be exhibited online at the Photomedia Center, photomediacenter.org, during December 2009. Two Award winners (Best Color and Best Black and White) will
receive a free copy of Light Leaks magazine. Best of Show will receive a year’s subscription to Light Leaks and their choice of Holga 120Ns from Freestyle Photographic Supplies’ Holgawood Collection.

Artists may submit up to 10 pieces by CD only (no slides or prints) for consideration. Entry fee is $1 per image.

Entry fees are waived entirely for current Photomedia Center members. Payment can be made by check, money order, or by credit card electronically via paypal.

The acceptable file formats are either JPEG or TIFF only. Please label images clearly with the work’s title or provide a separate list clearly referencing file names by application line number. Files must be no larger than 900 pixels on
the image’s longest side at 72 ppi. Label the CD with your name.

All entries should be sent to:
Photomedia Center, P.O. Box 8518, Erie, PA 16505, USA.

Absolutely no entries will be accepted via email. A completed application form is required and must be included with your submission.

If your work is accepted for exhibition, we ask that you donate a print of that image to Photomedia Center’s permanent print collection. Donations to Photomedia Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, are tax deductible
according to their estimated value.

For notification, you must include a valid email address on your application. All entrants will be notified of acceptance or rejection mid-November. If you wish the return of your CD, you must supply a self addressed, stamped envelope with proper return postage.

For any questions regarding the show or entry process, please contact:
info@photomediacenter.org.
