Featured Photographer of the Month: C G Moyer

We figured we would finish the week off and set you up for the weekend with some lovely photos….

This month we introduce C Gary Moyer, toy camera photographer extraordinaire, pizza eater, and Light Leaks column writer.

A wonderful photographer! Thanks for sharing – The photos of the boy and bowling alley are my favourites.

Hey Little Girl is my favourite of the lot.
It’s actually a visually complex picture but all the elements are needed to convey the mood, I think – the boardwalk and the background to the right establish the setting, the crowd and the adult to the left give us assurance – minus any of these and the shot would look creepy!
The low POV mimics the child’s POV, and the child’s posture tells us how she must be feeling.

First things first. The image above was shot on my Holga, and I only manipulated digitally by way of turning it black & white and adding my copyright symbol. Otherwise, this is shown exactly as it was shot, with the image stretching its way across the film plain in a nice wide panoramic and covering [...]
