   I don’t care who wins (I didn’t make it to the final five anyway) but I don’t like this online votes. What once started as a photo competition with judges and all now becomes the game I-have-more-friends-than-you! And that isn’t fair at all.

   Hi Ricardo,

   I’m sorry that you dislike the public voting system. It was the fairest system we could come up with after there was a tie in the votes.

   All the judges had to pick their five favourites from the 100 entries. The problem with this is that there ended up being five entries that had equal votes.

   We didn’t think it was fair to chose two over the others finalists, as they had fairly all been picked equally.

   This was the best solution we could come up with,bearing in mind it was geographically impossible to get everyone in the same room to debate who should win, which would have been the best option.

   I think our readers have the integrity to chose their favourite photo, instead of being swayed by other means.

    Hi Rog,

    Do you see a small bar next to the photo showing how many votes it has already had? If so it means that someone with that IP has already voted(which is possible if you are at work).

    If there’s no box or no bar, i’m not sure what the problem is. I’ve only got a mac at home, but will check at work tomorrow to see if it works.

    ah ok, it definitely looks like you share an IP with someone else who has voted, this is pretty common in large workplaces where everyone shares the same external IP for the internet. If you try at home or somewhere else, it should be fine.

    I agree with Ricardo..it weeds out the true talent with this kind of voting systems..it’s true. But then again, I guess even with this “I-have-more-friends-than-you system”..it doesn’t matter…the true talent comes out no matter what…world just knows when they see it.

    Yep! No one else should be able to vote.

    We are just trying to secure some small prizes for all the finalists, since some people expressed their concern over the poll idea and then we will have an article up.
