Here are a few test shots I took in my back yard a couple of weeks ago using the new Holga Wide and Tele lenses. For comparison, I stood in the same spot and took them all from the same angle (as best I could!).
I will keep trying out the lenses in some more different circumstances and follow up with another post in a few weeks, but for now, here are some images of my beautiful tree!

I really like the heavy vignetting on the black and white shots, however these lenses are probably best suited for certain circumstances or effects, so you need to keep that in mind when using them. The tele lens does a good job of zooming in on the center, but you do lose a lot of the outside edges to vignetting and blur, so keep that in mind when you are shooting. It’s probably best if the subject is more centered when using these lenses. In comparing the shots to an original photo taken with the Holga (no lenses) they do make a substantial difference in the outcome of the shot. I didn’t get as much vignetting in the colour shots – not sure if its because I was closer to the subject, or if it was due to the type of film… I will have to further investigate this!
They are very easy to put on and take off, you just snap them over top of the lens.
Overall, I like them and will keep them in my bag because you never know when an opportunity will arise to use them!

What speeds were the B&W and color films? Thanks.
Hi Gene – The black and white film was Ilford HP5+ which is a 400 speed. I think the colour film was Kodak E100G Chrome
I have also been testing out the tele and wide lens I bought and am really pleased with them – one thing I have noticed witht he wide lens is that the vignetting is not centred on the frame, and looks lop sided – have you noticed this? Haven’t worked out what the cause is yet.
hey, loving the shots, if you have time, check out some of my work here

I took some holga shots i had laying around and edited them. Nope you like them
I think I really like the telephoto lenses. Curious about the macros…I guess I will just need to try them!
I’ve got to say, I prefer the close-up lenses over these ones, but the tele is particularly good for getting vignetting into 35mm shots when using a 120. I wish it got a little bit closer, though, but that’s probably just me.
Although not new to the Holga in any way, AM new to using the wide attachment. Thanks for the test shots, giving us all examples. Much appreciated. I finally used the lens yesterday;was REALLY helpful.
