New Online Toy Camera Shop

There can never be enough online shops that sell toy camera kit. More competition=cheaper prices for you and me!

So it is great news to see that our favourite Lo-Fi Photography magazine Lightleaks have launched an online shop, selling all kinds of toy camera goodness.

Here’s the lowdown from Mike:

Rachel and I (Mike) have been ‘toying’ around with this idea for a while, and now it is a reality! With some of the recent demand for toy cameras, and with so many options being offered from different shops and manufacturers, we decided to start our own shop that would bring together as many products and accessories related to toy and low-fi photography as possible.

Being an independent shop with no biases, we will strive to bringing together all products from all manufacturers all over the world! We will also bring ‘refurbished’ products – which, lets face it, is really just me being an ebay junkie, buying cameras and reselling them. Some people won’t like that, but here here is the deal – I’m willing to take the risk of buying ebay products, as well as unscrupulous ebay sellers. With a lot of old cameras you get a lot of problems – but I have seen it all, some things can be fixed, and some can’t. Where things can be fixed, I fix em’, where they can’t be fixed – parts camera, and I’ll take a loss. When I resell a camera, I ensure it is 100% functional – and resell it a premium for those services. When you purchase one of these cameras, you will be getting a camera from someone who knows these cameras and my personal quality assurance. So you’ll get what is advertised – shipped promptly, and well packaged.

Sounds fab! We wish Mike and Rachel all the best with their new venture, and hope it’s a great success.

Fun in the Sun-Printing

Some time late last year (OK, Christmas), I got a present called “Sun-Print Paper”. This stuff is basically sold as a “toy” to parents who probably want their kids to get off their console, get out the house, and take in some Sunshine or else.
